Glasgow’s Hydro
BBC Sport reported Josh Taylor versus Jack Catterall at Glasgow’s Hydro in February 2022. That is a historical bout and not a guide to any future show. OVO Hydro and the former SSE Hydro branding refer to the same arena, so older boxing reports can still be relevant to identity.
The Hydro is one building on the Scottish Event Campus. Other halls and the nearby convention space may share the site, so a ticket for another SEC hall will not get you into the arena. Check the venue line carefully on any listing.
The Scottish Event Campus
Use the SEC visitor guidance for transport, parking and walking routes. The campus is on the north bank of the Clyde, and event nights can bring crowds to the main approach. Check the guide for your date because arrangements can change.
Plan the return journey too. A late finish may limit rail and bus options, and Glasgow hotels can be busy on a big night. If your plan depends on a particular service, confirm it again close to the date and think about a backup.
Check the upcoming fights list for dates before you book travel.
Boxing seating
For boxing the arena places a ring in the middle of the floor, with floor seating and steep tiers around it. Use the official event plan, not a concert map. Check the position of the screens, entrances and any production areas that might restrict a view.
Higher tiers give a clear overview and can show the shape of a fight well, while floor seats are close and loud. Choose according to your priorities, and ask the seller about specific rows if you have concerns about sightlines.
Official tickets
Begin with the arena’s website and any ticket link it gives. A promoter announcement may add details, but follow the official route and read the terms. We do not publish prices or availability, and we advise against paying anyone who cannot identify the seat.
The boxing ticket guide and cheap boxing tickets guide on the home page explain how to compare options. Browse upcoming events below for fight dates and ticket information. If there are currently no upcoming boxing events listed, check back soon for new fight announcements and ticket updates.

Accessibility
Contact the venue or ticket seller about wheelchair spaces, companion seats and step-free routes. Boxing changes the room layout, so mention the event. Ask about the route from the nearest station and any drop-off point you may need.
Read the conditions on bags, ID and re-entry. A busy campus can bring long queues, so arrive early. Keep your ticket on a charged phone and agree a meeting point with your group.
Value in a large arena
A large arena has a wide range of seat categories. Compare the official blocks and look beyond price. A higher seat with a clear sightline can beat a floor seat with equipment in the way. Do not assume the closest seat is the best for your style of watching.
Count the other costs of the night, including travel, food and accommodation. If you are visiting from outside Glasgow, these costs may be significant. A realistic total helps you choose a seat without stretching beyond your plan.
Planning the Glasgow evening
Check the official door time and the plan for the bill, accepting that running orders can change. If you want the early bouts, arrive in good time. If you want only the main event, allow for delays and make sure your transport still works.
Glasgow has plenty of food and drink, but event nights can be busy. Book earlier or eat before the rush. Keep your phone charged for tickets and travel updates.
Getting away afterwards
A full arena empties in a rush, and the campus approach can become crowded. Decide where you will meet your group and how you will leave. A short wait can make the journey calmer, but only if your last service allows it.
If you are driving, check parking and exit arrangements. If you are staying overnight, plan the walk or transfer in advance. A clear plan lets you enjoy the main event without checking the clock.
Final checks
Confirm your ticket names OVO Hydro and not another hall on the campus. Check the date, entrance and event title, and look for official updates close to the day.
For comparison, read the Braehead Arena guide for a Renfrewshire venue, The O2 Belfast for a Northern Ireland arena, and Utilita Arena Newcastle for an English northern arena.
Save your booking reference, the entrance and the campus map on your phone before you leave. Large campuses can have unreliable signal around the busiest doors, and a missing email can slow your entry. If you are with a group, name a meeting place that is easy to find, and tell everyone which direction the station or taxi point lies.

The Hydro within the SEC
The Scottish Event Campus has several buildings, and it is easy to follow signs for the wrong hall. Check the name on your ticket, the entrance and the SEC guidance. A few minutes at the map can prevent a long walk with a crowd.
If you are staying in Glasgow city centre, look at the route to the campus in advance. Some visitors walk, others use transport, and the best option depends on weather, time and mobility. Treat the plan as part of your preparation, not an afterthought.
